This course examines how ethical leadership creates sustainable learning organizations by helping students discover what values make a leader ethical and effective. This course exposes students to concepts and theories of the ethical decision-making process so they can appraise the signs of an ethical dilemma in order to resolve conflict in an organization. Students will uncover how ethical leaders create trust and cooperation. Participants in this class will assess the values and principles that unite organizations to become sustainable in a global environment.

A variety of systems theories ranging from mechanistic approaches, organismic approaches, and cybernetics as well as current understandings of flux and transformations will be examined.
