Pennsylvania is an NC-SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) member state and Point Park University is an approved SARA institution. SARA is a voluntary agreement among member states, districts, and territories in the United States, which establishes national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs. It is intended to standardize the process of offering online courses and programs by postsecondary institutions located in states other than the state in which the enrolled student(s) are residing.

DISCLOSURES AND POLICIES
Students in California, which is not a SARA member state, may enroll in Point Park University’s online programs, but they are responsible for understanding the degree requirements within their state and reciprocity is not guaranteed.
International students may enroll in Point Park University’s online programs, but are responsible for understanding any international issues and reciprocity is not guaranteed.
Important Note Regarding Professional Licensure
SARA membership does not include reciprocity for licensure or certification issues with other states. Point Park University’s licensure programs meet Pennsylvania licensure and certification requirements. Licensure requirements vary from state to state and completion of these requirements in Pennsylvania does not guarantee compatibility with other state licensure certifications. Before enrolling in an online licensure program at Point Park University, it is recommended that students determine whether the licensure will be compatible with that of their home state by contacting the appropriate licensing agency within their state.
Point Park University adheres to all SARA guidelines and policies relating to student complaints.
If a Point Park University student has a complaint about a distance education course or experience, the student must first follow the applicable university grievance procedure using Point Park University’s Student Complaint Form. Note: Complaints regarding grades or student conduct violations are governed solely by the university’s policies and procedures.
If a complaint—other than a complaint about grades or student conduct violations—is not resolved to the student’s satisfaction through the university’s grievance process, the student may appeal the complaint to Pennsylvania’s SARA Portal Entity. The SARA Portal Entity in the student’s home state (if not Pennsylvania) will be notified that the complaint was received and may assist in the grievance process as needed. Resolution of the complaint by the Pennsylvania SARA Portal Entity is final.
